Hello from our new backyard 👋 . It's times like these we need to be grateful for the little things, and I'm happy to be locked down here for as long as needed 😇 . Now that we've moved and started settling in, I'm planning to stay home as much as possible. Hoping our internet gets connected soon though, because I have to go back to work next week (from home) and Grace keeps asking to watch every other show on abc kids 😂 thank god I bought those Bluey dvds! . Hope everyone is going OK, I have a feeling the next wave of lockdown will be coming soon in Melbourne. It's been a minute since I posted on the feed 😬 just been busy with life really 😝 . Took a break from packing up the house today to get a bit of fresh air and sunshine at blue lotus water garden in Yarra Junction ☀ . There is lots to do for kids, playgrounds, activities and picnic spots, and the fairy garden is so cute 😍 . It's a perfect time to visit and the gardens are open until April 13 - and they're still open with coronavirus restrictions, so if you're looking for somewhere to get out to, check it out 😁 . Never been so grateful to see rain ☔ . Hoping it reaches where it is needed most, and while it's not enough to bring an end to these horrendous bushfires, hopefully it brings some relief 🙏 . I've been watching all the news and seeing all the pictures and it's heartbreaking. And it makes me feel powerless. But one thing I am doing - re-signing up to give blood. Something I've been meaning to do for ages and while it shouldn't take a natural disaster to do it, better now than never. . It's also been heartwarming to see so many people come together to donate and help people affected, community spirit is alive and well in Aus. . Thinking of all those in fire-affected areas in Vic and NSW 💛💛 . #vicfires #nswfires #donateblood

A random hodge-podge of posts to round out my Insta top 9 of 2019 as I really didn't post as much as previous years, although I'm glad to see Grace's first birthday featuring @thehatterandthehare.au amazing cake take top spot 🍰 . A conscious decision to try and not be on my phone when I'm with Grace means I took way less photos of anything other than her, and also was less inclined to post much. I did start to get more onto stories by the end of the year though 😂 . So this decade started with me spending New Years in Edinburgh at Hogmanay, having decided to go on a tour by myself as Kris was working at the pub in Putney. We were living in London at the time (lived there for about 18 months after moving over there together, obviously didn't break us 😁) . Since we got back we bought a house, got engaged, got married, had a baby! We've also realised career dreams and progressions. . But I also struggled with dieting/ excessive exercise/binge eating for quite a few years that led to other physical and mental health issues. I'm forever grateful that I found @thecentreforhealing and overcame it a few years ago 🙏 . I'm not making any resolutions or predictions for myself for 2020. I'm not really even making any goals for now, I'm pretty happy with seeing how things pan out. We've got a new house to go to in March and I'm starting practitioner training with @thecentreforhealing next month, which will take me out of my comfort zone and require lots more self-reflection and facing of fears 😇 . I'm excited to see where 2020 takes me and I'm ready for it. Just don't expect me to stay up til midnight as I'm working tomorrow and I'm just about ready for bed. Just me or is NY overrated? 😂 . Still thinking of all those affected by bushfires in Vic and NSW, so so horrific and sad for all involved 😢 . Take care everyone and enjoy your New Years 💛 . #bestnine2019 #newyears #newdecade
